simple wound management
generally dogs and cats get wounds. some times these are healed easily. but sometimes it will become a septic wound turned out in maggot wound. this maggot wound is very annoying so better take care of that small wound. small wounds are simply healed if we take care little bit of it. you don't need to go to vet for this small wounds.
steps in wound management:
- shave the area around the wound
- clean it with water or hydrogen peroxide(1st time only)
- apply ointment or dusting powder like nebasulf.
- clean the wound smoothly daily with clean cotton dipped in warm water and apply ointment or dusting powder daily
caution : if it is big wound or dog bite you must take the dog to the vet.
